Ryan J. Mills

Ryan Mills concentrates his practice in all aspects of civil litigation as well as corporate and estate matters. Ryan has extensive experience representing both defendants and plaintiffs.
Ryan has tried cases to verdict in several different areas of the law. His experience includes high-exposure commercial, automobile, employment law, premises liability and toxic tort cases. The majority of Ryan’s defense trials have resulted in defense verdicts. Ryan's most significant plaintiff's verdict was $25,325,000 (Turley v. ArcelorMittal, et. al., W.D.N.Y. 2012).
Ryan is the Treasurer for the Charles S. Desmond Inn of Court and is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, New York State Bar Association, and Western New York Trial Lawyers. Ryan also serves on the Clarence Zoning Board of Appeals and is a Director of the Western New York Chapter of the Defense Trial Lawyers Association. Ryan is also a Director for the University at Buffalo Law Alumni Association.
Ryan is a Western New York native and graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Architecture. During law school Ryan worked for an architecture firm for several years. Ryan’s technical background serves him well in complex commercial and product liability cases.
During Law School, Ryan was a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) Trial Competition team and served as President of the University a Buffalo's ATLA chapter. He also served as Senior Associate Editor of the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review and as Business Editor for the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal.
When not practicing law, Ryan enjoys real estate investing, running and traveling.
