Renata Kowalczuk

Ms. Kowalczuk’s practice includes civil defense litigation in the areas of Premises and Automobile Liability; Labor and Construction Law; Products Liability; Supplemental Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (SUM) actions; No-fault; Insurance Law; Municipal Law; fraudulent claims investigation; and providing coverage opinions and analysis. She also practices in Estate Planning and Article 81 guardianships.
Ms. Kowalczuk is an instructor of Health Care Law & Ethics at D’Youville College and a member of: the Erie County Bar Association, negligence, international and elder law committee member; New York State Bar Association; Western New York Trial Lawyers; Defense Trial Lawyers Association; Defense Research Institute; and the Charles S. Demond Inn of Court, Board Member and past vice-president. She is also involved in the Erie County Bar Association’s Sister City Program, promoting the Bar Association’s international interests and objectives. She is a past Board Member of the WNY Women’s Bar Association.
She has dedicated countless hours of pro bono work to serving the legal needs of the Western New York community. She has also coordinated and/or participated in various charitable events sponsored by: the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Child & Family Services, and AIDS Community Services.
Ms. Kowalczuk is a native of Gdansk, Poland and has resided in the Buffalo, New York area since 1980. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo (B.A., magna cum laude 1994), and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law (J.D. 1997). Ms. Kowalczuk was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 1998, and has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of New York. She speaks conversational Polish.
