Mark J. Schaefer
Mark Schaefer practices in the areas of insurance defense and coverage litigation, products liability, New York Labor Law, negligence and toxic tort litigation. He is a senior trial associate and handles all auto, premises, and negligence trials. He also assists in the defense of environmental tort claims.
Mark is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York, United States District Court, Western District of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He has briefed and argued appeals on a number of points, including defamation, breach of contract, municipal tort liability for highways and general negligence. He has participated in the Annual High School Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the New York State Bar Association on numerous occasions since 1997 as both a team attorney advisor and as a judge.
Mark was born in Rhinebeck, New York and is a graduate of Vassar College, cum laude, and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
